F1 fans breaking onto the track is a very rare occurrence. At the 2000 German Grand Prix a former Mercedes employee ran onto the Hockenheimring to protest losing his job, while at the 2003 British Grand Prix a priest managed to sneak onto the Hangar Straight at Silverstone waving religious banners.
