Did You Know Postman Pat Was A Drag Racer With A Bad NOS Habit?
Ever wondered what Postman Pat does when he's not delivering parcels or doing strange things to his black and white cat? Wonder no more, because we can reveal that Pat's a drag racer with a bad nitrous habit.
Confused? So were we until we stumbled upon this YouTube footage of a miniature Postman Pat drag racer. Dubbed 'Pat 1', this Brit-built bomb is a custom, one-off racer whose body is that of a coin operated ride you'd see outside a supermarket. Seriously.
That's where the similarities begin and end, however. Features of this rear-drive racer include a Husqvarna 500cc single-cylinder engine with a six-speed gearbox, a custom-built nitrous system and a half-size, fully working parachute.
Sitting on a one metre chassis and five-inch wheels with slicks, Pat 1's 155kg weight helps it to rocket down the quarter-mile strip in 12.0sec at 102mph. It's also good for a 0-60mph time of just 3.3sec, which makes it faster to 60mph than a 611bhp 911 GT2.
So what does all this madness look and sound like? Hit play and prepare for lols.
