DIY Hero Builds Fully Functioning Kitchen In The Back Of A Tiny Electric Car

This Kei car-derived Peugeot iOn has its own mini kitchen, featuring a working hob, tap and fridge

The Peugeot iOn is not a particularly good car. It’s a badge-engineered version of the electric Mitsubishi i-MiEV, and while not entirely without merit, the car was hampered by a short range and an absurdly high price tag.

But this is no ordinary iOn: it’s owned by an enterprising New Zealander who once converted an old Mitsubishi Tredia into a full EV, and chronicled the whole build on YouTube. Now he has a purpose-built electric vehicle, he’s not done tinkering.

Case in point? Here’s a very informative video about how he built a fully functioning mini kitchen into the back of the iOn. It even has a working tap, and a fridge!
