Do You Want To Be A Full-Time CT Staff Writer? Here's How
Hello from Car Throttle. My name is Alex, Editor in Chief and YouTube video monkey of this hugely exciting company. Above, is a picture of the beautiful Car Throttle team that was taken yesterday. (JJ, the guy in the bottom right took the pic, so was Photoshopped in after, which explains why he is missing an arm).
Many of you will know that we have grown a lot in number over the past few months. From 12 people, we quickly jumped to 18, and that’s thanks to our dedication, growth, and the fact that we’re moving into other areas such as Fashion and Beauty and Gaming. We also moved into our own office, created our parent company CircleSix, and even bought a proper coffee machine. And a gaming chair…
But enough about us. The reason for this post is to tell you that we are looking for a new staff writer to join us full time in Car Throttle’s London office. He or she will possess the following skills:
- Excellent language skills and high standards of grammar
- Highly motivated and active on social media
- Follow and create new trends (think outside the box)
- An insatiable hunger for metrics, measuring and understanding what our millions of users want
- Be able to create engaging/shareable/viral content quickly
- Be willing to occasionally work weekends and evenings - this isn’t a normal 9-5 job
A typical work day will involve creating content that people love to read, share and comment on. This will include the curation of ‘Top 10’ listicles, quizzes and viral video posts as they are released.
A deep knowledge of cars old and new is a must, but we won’t ask you to recite the laughable torque figures of Japanese cars beginning with H. We’re simply looking for a car enthusiast who loves, lives and breathes the automotive world, and who wants to be part of an exciting, young company where voices are always heard.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to be the next Car Throttle staff writer, then we’d love to hear from you. If you have a blog or examples of published work, then include those in your email to jobs+writer@carthrottle.com.
If we like what we see/read, we’ll be in contact with you in the next few days.
Thanks for your time and good luck!
