Do You Want To Write For CT? Here's How

Good afternoon from CT HQ in London! Many of you know me as the cocky car guy from 2 Guys 1 Car, or as the bloke with the MX-5 project car (aka Phil).

Either way, my proper job title is Editor of this fantastic, community-driven website, which means I get to read a lot of great content from our staff writers Matt and Darren, as well as the fine words from freelancers Kelsey Sakamoto (gaming and American), Jack Leslie (motorsport) and a certain Engineering Explained, who explains…engineering.

Do You Want To Write For CT? Here's How

Car Throttle’s core audience (that’s you guys) are aged between 18 and 24 and are 95 per cent male. You’re known as the super sharers, which means that when you like something you read or see, you tell your friends about it either by tagging them on Facebook, commenting on a post, upvoting, and so on.

Luckily for us, you seem to like the editorial content we produce a great deal, but if there’s one thing you want to change, it’s the amount of content you see on the site; you (and I) want to see more of it, including long-form editorial pieces, ‘How To’ guides, old car content, build threads, more editorial focussed on the American culture…the sky’s the limit.

Which is why I’m reaching out to you now.

If you’ve got a knack for words, or if you already write for a website/magazine, then I want to hear from you. Similarly, if you run your own blog alongside university or a job, then get in contact, tell me about it and let me see your work.

Do You Want To Write For CT? Here's How

We’re looking for passionate guys and girls to bulk up our freelance editorial team. This means flexible hours, extra cash and working from home. If you’re in the UK, then we’ve always got a desk free from time to time too.

Who can apply?

Anyone who can prove themselves to be good writers quickly. Ideally, I’d like to see examples of published work or, as previously mentioned, a blog for me to look through.

More American content is something that CT is crying out for, so if you fit the bill, then send us an email and let’s get the ball rolling.

From me, peace out, and thanks for being the best car community…in the world.

If we like what we see/read, we’ll be in contact with you over the next couple of weeks!
