Dodge Has Released More Tantalising Clues About The Challenger SRT Demon
The Dodge SRT Demon will let owners customise its capabilities for the drag strip or the street, according to the latest announcement in the company’s countdown to launch day.
A new video, titled ‘Crate’, has been launched along with a few more cryptic clues as to the Demon’s genetic makeup, following others like this and this that the company has already released.
The Demon Crate, says Dodge, clearly enjoying its own theatrics, contains 18 components that “maximise the Challenger SRT Demon’s flexibility, exclusivity and future collectability.” Wheels and tyres are going to be included.
In the same press release, the company says:
“Twenty-two days into the pre-launch campaign, the general consensus seems to be that the Challenger SRT Demon is a single-seat, gutted-out, purpose-built drag car. But this week’s teaser video starts to bring the Challenger SRT Demon’s true mission more clearly into focus.
“The Challenger SRT Demon provides a platform from which each customer can design their own ultimate “Street/Strip” muscle car. It’s not intended for a road course; rather, each customer can decide at the time of order, or once they own the car, or even on a moment’s notice that they want their car to favor (sic) street performance, drag strip performance or something in between.”
That seems to suggest that as well as buyers specifying custom parts during the ordering process or buying them from an aftermarket catalogue, there will also be some measure of on-the-fly adjustment inside the car itself. We’re (obviously) looking forward to learning more.

So the punch line: New Dodge Challenger comes with two less cylinders and a pit crew. Sounds like road-legal F1 ….
“Crate” i’m not the only one that thinks it’s right from PCR ?
Anyone spotted Dark Stig
the Stig’s dodge cousin
some say he drive every dodge of the living
Did you say… self customizable capabilities?
DonkeyKong(DonkSquad)
That is absolutely horrifying
Suprisingly, I like it.
Nothing against my demon:
So we know it’s RWD. I feel like we can also deduce that the 0757 and 001121 are important. Horsepower and pricing?
757$ and 1121 HP would be cool
Maybe it’s horsepower and the amount they make, it’s probably going to be quite limited
That crate thing looks a little to specificly designed. Mabye every Demon will come with a tool box. Like a pit crew style tool box. Also there might be a possibility the Demon could be AWD. It’s very well timed for Dodge to release the Challenged GT and then announce the Demon.
Basically everything to change the tyres that it’ll destroy
I thought the hellcat had 707 hp instead of 697
It depend wether you talk about bhp or hp
Car throttle doesnt give credit where credits due they have to cut it short on the low reading just because
That crate looks like an exorcism box
