This Dog Managed To Drive A Massive Truck Across The Road

Bystanders managed to stop this runaway truck before it did any significant damage, and were surprised by what they found in the cabin...

The locals of Mankato, Minnesota were no doubt confused and concerned to see what appeared to be an unmanned truck trundling across Highway 169, but proceedings only got weirder. The vehicle mounted a kerb, hit a tree and a parked car before a bystander was able to get in the cabin and bring the runaway truck to a stop, upon which the cause of the incident was discovered: a dog.

Yep, it turned out the owner’s labrador had put the idling lorry into gear, sending it on a collision course. Fortunately no one was injured in this bizarre incident. According to Mankato Free Press, the police took the truck off the road and logged an accident report. Whether or not the owner will be charged for leaving his vehicle running with an adventurous pooch in the cabin, we’ll have to wait and see….

That dog was probably a better truck driver than more than half the truck drivers I see on I-81 Virginia… Anytime there is a major accident; I am not for sure what happened, but I do know it involved a lorry

The dog didn’t put it in gear all he did was the truck would be left in the neutral and he released the parking air brake and the truck rolled forward. Also the clutches aren’t very light and automatic trucks are extremely rare. I only know this cause I can drive an tandem (dump truck).

How can you say automatic trucks are rare. Most of them are equipped with A/T nowadays.
