This Drag Racer Completes the Quarter-Mile In A Flaming Four Seconds

This drag racer takes internal combustion to its epic maximum, creating sonic shock waves, a hellish exhaust note and big, big flames

For normal road cars you’d call a 10-second quarter-mile a decent benchmark/target/dream, depending on what stage your project car is at. But in the world of drag racers IC engines are as extreme as it’s possible to get, with this specific car/missile managing a 4-second quarter-mile at 197mph; acceleration that’s hard to even imagine. How the hell the driver keeps it in a straight line is anyone’s guess.

With some dragsters managing outputs well into thousands of horsepower, it’s not surprising that these finely-tuned engines produce a noise akin to a nuclear explosion. RIP headphone users.

I bet there is a 12-year old on CT who can do that in less than 4 sec with a GT-R in pixel car racer

RIP Headphone users??? It was quiet. Anyone who says RIP headphone users obviously doesn’t understand how they are in the flesh. Block your ears all you want, it’ll just go through you. It’s so loud that it turns your organs to liquid, vibrates your diaphragm and rattles your skeleton. IT’S AWESOME!!!!!

I though top fuel now race 1000ft instead of 1/4, this was to try and keep the top speed down, that’s what they do at Santa pod anyways.
