This EG6 Honda Civic Is A Furious Little Hill Climb Beast
With a screaming K20A engine and mad bespoke bodywork, this Civic hill climb car is a treat for the eyes and ears
With a giant diffuser, comedy-size vents and shelf-like side skirts, this is clearly no ordinary EG6-generation Honda Civic. The madness continues beneath the skin too: under the bonnet you’ll find a K20A engine (that’s the one from the DC5 Integra Type R), packing individual Jenvey throttle bodies.
It pushes out around 240bhp at 9000rpm, making this slick-shod, 780kg car extremely quick. We can see it here piloted by Belgian driver Fabrizio Casciaro at the Eschdorf Hillclimb last year.

First looking at the picture I thought it was just another riced civic
How? Smh..
It’s clearly a racecar
Shingo is jealous
only 240bhp?
why all those vents though?
seriously
that pic :D
Only?
Only 240bhp? It’s not always all about the power. Sure, the car could have had more power, but that would result in a strenghened chassis, which would effect the weight of the car.
It’s very common, that race cars have their heaters and heat exchangers mounted in the rear. Also, you can see that nearly the whole front is covered up, therefore the vents in the rear.
The only vent in the front could be something like a ram air intake, I guess.
I personally think this thing looks and sound nuts, but tastes differ.
It’s only naturally aspirated. So 240 is pretty decent…
Look at the power/weight ratio
That diffuser though… Holy shit 😲
ahem ahem function over form ahem ahem
