Everything You Need To Know About 3D Arcade Karting Game Wincars Racer
Formerly known as Formula Wincars, the 2015 game has been renamed Wincars Racer. It’s a free-to-play online PC game that “looks up to games likes Mario Kart, Sega Rally or Crazy Taxi,” according to developer DragonJam Studios. The idea came from a need for an arcade style karting game where racers did more than just run the track with a few special powers.
Basically, this is a 3D arcade karting game in which winners will have to prove to be both good drivers and strategists. Some cool points about the Wincars Racer include:
- Drivers - each has unique abilities (flame thrower, rocket, wings, etc.) and their own storyline.
- Tactics actually matter - multiple special abilities that must be regenerated.
- Over 100 cars - each handles differently.
- Circuits - race style like Competition and Urban or adventure style like Rally and Countryside.
The cars are fully original designs, and each class comes with unique characteristics:
- Sport - fast, best in Countryside races with highways and small roads.
- Off-Road - slower, but great for driving over dirt, sand and snow.
- Gran Turismo - fast, easy handling for twisting roads.
- Formula - fastest, best in Competition races, but harder to handle.
Special Collections like Retro, Tuning, Fantasy and Concept can be unlocked as the game progresses.
Wincars Racer is bringing back the excitement of the arcade racers we grew up playing by hiding shortcuts, special effects and secret boosts along the circuits. At the same time, it is updating the feel with HD graphics and more accurate driving. The real game changer is going to be the online gameplay. You will be able to team up with mates in 4x4 Team Mode races or participate in Tournament Mode with up to 4000 global racers. It gets better: the online tournament winners will get real prizes like racing sim set ups, consoles, laptops and other gaming gear.
There is always some hesitation when it comes to free-to-play games because we worry that it really means pay-to-win. DragonJam clears the issue with this statement:
As everybody knows, some companies have used Free-To-Play doing unethical practices, our intention is to be honest and transparent making clear some core aspects:
It will be possible to unlock every feature within the game by just gathering in-game experience. In other words, you will be able to progress in the game by JUST playing in a reasonable amount of time, as it happens in a classic story mode in a full title, not forcing you to make any micropayments to go on.
There will NOT be any way of taking advantage over other players by doing micro-payments, forget about premium stuff. We are developing a videogame where fair competition is a MUST.
We guarantee that all players will have the same winning chances, otherwise a title like this would simply make no sense.
A Closed Beta Testing Session will begin before the game is released this summer. Register here to be invited before the game opens to the public (but be quick!). A head start to polish your skills before the tournaments begin could help you win some of that awesome gaming gear in the future.
