Sebastian Vettel has shared his views on the new sound of Formula 1. Talking to reporters at the Sepang International Circuit ahead of the Malaysian Grand Prix, he said of the turbocharged V6:

"It’s shit. I think we have to
. I was on the pit wall during the race. It’s better than in a bar. That’s my opinion. I think for the fans it’s not good. I think F1 has to be spectacular, and the sound is one of the most important things. "I remember when I was a small child, I don’t remember much, but the first time I was about five years old, six years old when we went to see the cars live during free practice in Germany. The one thing I remember was the sound, how loud the cars actually were, and to feel the cars through the ground. The whole ground was vibrating. It’s a shame that we don’t have that any more."

What do you think of the new engine note? Listen to the sound of the 2013 V8 and 2014 V6 engines and tell us if you agree with Vettel.
