Fancy Driving A Mercedes' C63 AMG Black This Summer?
How would you like to commandeer a V8, 6.3-litre, AMG Benz? How about one with a 0-62mph time of 4.2 seconds and exterior styling that would make your inner-Essex snort with delight?
How would you like to commandeer a V8, 6.3-litre, AMG Benz? How about one with a 0-62mph time of 4.2 seconds and exterior styling that would make your inner-Essex snort with delight? Well, now you can, with a special summer offer from our partners at Mercedes-Benz World in Brooklands.
With only 600 cars to be produced worldwide and 66 of these making their way to British shores, Mercedes-Benz have upped the ante with their C63 coupé which has now been geared for hardcore track use. This is a car which Jezza Clarkson himself described as "almost demented" and retailing for over £100,000 with 517 horsepower, carbon fibre aero winglets, lightweight pistons, it's easy to see why.
£250, quite a lot of cash to stump up it must be said despite a £100 discount on standard prices, will buy you the following; first a 30-minute session behind the wheel of an AMG to learn the circuit with an "Mercedes-Benz Driving Specialist", also known as an instructor, and then a second 30-minutes worth of time in the C63 AMG Black Series strapped into some serious racing style bucket seats. If that's getting you hot under the collar, then check out these following two videos which will surely whet your appetite further:
Of course, there are other amusements to be found at Mercedes-Benz World including Handling Circuits, a Wet Skid Circle and off-roading courses which you can tackle with other Benz products. For the little 'uns, there's a Driving Academy which will get you in examiner shape and a museum should you wish to brush up on your historical knowledge. Overall, and especially after reading about Tom going sideways in a CLS63 AMG, it seems like a good day out, but be prepared to spend some of your hard-earned for the really great experiences.
But be quick, as experiences with the discounted price can only be purchased up until 30th September 2012. After that, well, you'll just have to splash the cash if you're to get a ride in the ultimate badboy Mercedes-Benz.
