The First Pokemon Go Car Crash Has Already Happened
If you’ve perused any form of social media in the last few days, the chances are you’ll have had Pokemon Go well and truly smothered all over your face. In case you don’t know, it’s an augmented reality game where users walk around IRL, catching virtual Pokemon as they go, which would be a great idea if it wasn’t for the fact the human race is populated by vast quantities of stupid.
Case in point? The driver of the wrecked car above, who crashed into a tree in Auburn, New York on Tuesday night. When police arrived at the scene, he admitted he’d become distracted behind the wheel while playing a game of Pokemon Go, and swerved into the tree. Presumably while trying to catch a Squirtle, whatever that is.
Amazingly, the 28-year-old was uninjured, but Auburn police have felt the need to release some “advice” for virtual Pokemon catchers, including the following points:
Don’t play the game while driving a car or bicycle.
Don’t trespass on private property just to “catch” a Pokemon.
Avoid staring down at your phone and be aware of hazards like roadways, drop-offs and waterways.
If we’re in a world where such tips are needed, God help us all.

Stupid people do tend to do stupid things, but with a little consideration to what is around you the game can actually be a good thing. The last three days I have walked over 12 miles each day mostly because of this game
I had a quick go today actually, was never much of a Pokemon fan but I can see why people find it so addictive! But yeah, stupid people…
I know this will happen soon. I should ask… Does Pokemon is much important than live? Sacrifice the live just because a Pokemon?
In fact, there is a rumour that a player fell of a bridge just to catch one.
Gotta catch em all, man..
This isn’t the first car crash caused by the game.

There are a lot of fake Pokemon Go stories including this one.
I wouldn’t trust that site, some articles seem realistic enough, but others are satirical and obviously false, like “Zoo Claims Gorilla Had Ties To ISIS”
Funny, yes, but accurate? eh…
But it was a Squirtle…
So far near me we have seen a car backin up into a cop car that was following him for dangerous driving because he saw a pikachu and my father almost beat someone because he was searching for pokemon on our property
If i’m in your father position, i’m gonna take a shotgun & point it to that creep head. I’m gonna shot them…
The phone…
Looks like its time to to pokemon stop

I cant be the only one that finds a just a bit sad seeing adults going around finding things that dont actually exist
In my opinion, it’s not sad: it’s borderline stupid/insanity. At least I’m partly loopy (see, I admit that so it’s OK).
But is it not better to be out wandering around, rather than sat on your ass in front of a TV, shooting things that don’t exist, with guns that don’t exist, in areas that don’t exist?
Well, that didn’t take long…
Am I the only one that worries when a Mustang, a driver who’s Pokemon Go player and a crowd mix?
Also, speaking of evolution (which is relevant: Pokemon evolve last time I checked), we’ll soon find out who’s evolved and who hasn’t.
You don’t need to crack a Mustang joke at every chance you get, you know.
You have to risk it all to catch em all
Lol, good one!
