A Florida Man Repeatedly Shot Two AT&T Trucks That Parked Outside His House

Never mind the fact that a stray bullet or ricochet could have gone anywhere: this man's decision to start shooting telecoms company trucks full of holes beggars belief

What’s the correct social protocol when a working vehicle parks in front of your driveway? Hands up who voted for ‘shoot the tyres out and get yourself arrested’?

That’s exactly what one extremely angry Florida man decided was the bst course of acion after a pair of AT&T trucks pulled up to carry out works, partially blocking his driveway. No, really. He actually got his revolver and started putting holes in the trucks.

A Florida Man Repeatedly Shot Two AT&T Trucks That Parked Outside His House

I get the frustration. I do. My own driveway, on a narrow one-way street, gets blocked by unloading vans all the time. It’s annoying but either you ignore it, because the van won’t be there for too long anyway, or you politely ask the driver to move because you need to get your car off your drive. It’s not difficult – or maybe that’s just the British way.

This video shows what happens when you do the other thing. The man, who apparently told police he ‘just went bananas’ after the AT&T trucks set up outside his house, is reportedly a former fireman who served the Miami-Dade department for 34 years. He was arrested on site but released from jail later that day after being charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm as well as one count of felony vandalism.

If I could shoot out the tires of an ISP truck I’d be so happy.

And yet another story to make the RESPONSIBLE gun owners (me) look bad. Its a shame that this man seriously thought shooting at a work truck was a good idea, especially since its a relatively minor problem that can be easily worked around by just politely asking them to move the car/truck/etc. I own guns myself here in Texas, and they’ve saved my skin more than a few times since I used to live in a pretty sketchy neighborhood. Fortunately I’ve never had to pull the trigger, but let me tell you from experience that a blued 6” barrel .357 magnum scares the crap out of any crook when they manage pick open the lock on the door (despite repeated warnings not to do it) only to see it pointed at them from down the hall. So basically, I believe all RESPONSIBLE people have the right to own a gun, but if you prove you can’t follow even the most basic of safety rules there’s no way in hell I’m letting you anywhere near my safe.

Standing in the open is totally smart, so you know, if he wanted to shoot you too he’d have no problem doing so.

Depends on the state /city. It is the third biggest country so there are subcultures differ climates too (desert, swam etc).
