The Ford EcoSport Storm Is Like A Funky Little F150 Raptor

The Sao Paulo motor show might not normally fall under the radar of most enthusiasts, but this year’s event has sprung a few lovely little surprises. First up was the brilliant Dacia Oroch pickup truck, and now this: the Ford EcoSport Storm.

We wouldn’t ordinarily take a second glance at EcoSport-related news, but this concept looks like a little kid playing ‘when I grow up I want to be…’ And this little crossover clearly wants to be a Raptor.

From its wide open grille, complete with big and bold Ford lettering, to the sturdy underbody protection, the Storm clearly enjoys playing in the dirt. There are also chunky tyres, plastic arches and bumper extensions, as well as a unique paint job.

This jumped-up crossover might seem a little extreme for the school run, but in countries that have terrible road infrastructure (like the UK) something like this might actually be bloomin’ useful. Chuck the kids in the back and skip in and out of mountainous potholes in style. We’re sold.
