The Ford GT Sounds Like A Damn Jet Fighter At Full Chat
Ford has released a short flyby video of its GT supercar undergoing testing, and - perhaps down to its unique aerodynamic features - it sounds like some sort of jet-powered monster
Perhaps the coolest thing about the new Ford GT is its aero package. Flying buttresses help shove loads of air to the active rear wing, which - like on the McLaren 675 LT - can also act as an airbrake.
Something you can’t see meanwhile is an active flap which controls airflow to the rear diffuser. There’s even donut shaped tail lights, providing an exit point for cooling air which is shoved through the intercoolers via vents in the front. The last one is less about aero, but hey, it’s an awesome little detail.
Very few GTs will be built, but the car’s intended production run was recently extended.

that doesn’t sound friendly at all…. I should try to tame one
Wow, kinda does. A quiet one, anyway
I’m I the only one who doesn’t like the noise
No, I agree with you. There isn’t really any engine noise
All I heard was wind and road noise.
I heard absolutely nothing apart from wind noise.

Guys, it does sound like a jet. It never said the engine sounds like one, the aero sounds like it. That’s the pure friction that is being caused from the air hitting the multiple aero bits on the car. So much friction that it makes an audible noise.
Jet fighter for the road?
