Ford Sold More Mustangs Than Porsche Sold 911s In Germany Last Month
Last month Ford's sixth-generation Mustang outsold both the Porsche 911 and the Audi TT in Germany
It turns out German car buyers dig the new Ford Mustang. Really dig it, in fact. According to Autoblog, last month Ford shifted 780 of the things in the country, beating both the Porsche 911 (752 units) and the Audi TT (708 units) on home turf.
It’s not like the Mustang is a cheaper car than the TT in Germany either - as Autoblog points out, the starting price for the Ecoboost Mustang is actually higher than the cheapest TT. And as a bonus, the muscle car also beat the Boxster and Cayman last month, with Porsche selling a combined 642 units.
So, given the choice, what would you have: an Audi TT, a Porsche Cayman/Boxster, or a Ford Mustang?
Comments
The Mustang is beating Porsche and Audi in it’s own country.
Bit unfair comparing Mustang as a range to 911, considering you can have a 2.3 mustang which has low tax and insurance compared to the boxers… How many of those mustangs were 5.0??? I would assume far less than half. Interesting to note the comparison to cayman/boxster range though…
Good!
No Porsche will ever look this good
And all of them crashed pulling out of car shows
The FRS and BRZ sold very highly in the first year of production due to enthusiasts. The question isn’t how many Mustangs were sold in the first few months of arrival, but if it can keep these numbers the way Porsche has for the following year. The comparison to a 911 is also stupid, since the 911 is so much more expensive. And it only outsold the 911 by a few dozen units on top of it.
Sorry mustang fans
