Get Up Close And Personal With A Drag Car's Supercharger As It Blows Up
This incredible close-up footage captures the moment Sean Belt's nitro drag racer suffered a huge explosion
With the masses of power and super explosive, high-octane fuels used in the world of drag racing, when things go wrong, the results are quite spectacular. This footage - shot at the Good Vibrations Bakersfield March Meet last week - is a prime example, showing the moment Sean Belt’s supercharger tried to escape in explosive style, contained by some particularly burley retention straps.
Fortunately, Belt was able to bring the car to a stop without further incident.

How to light a fire with Sean Belt.
I got to admit that is a surprisingly calm explosion
I promise you, no, it wasn’t. (That’s me on the scaffolding at 0:44)
You know you suck at drag racing when your opponent’s engine blew up mid race yet you still lost
Well they call it a blower for a reason
It’s lit.
it’s spilling oil or gas
