Get A Load Of This Naked Carbonfibre 2017 Acura NSX GT3 Race Car
It’s pretty much science fact that cars look cooler in pure, naked carbonfibre. With that in mind, we were more than a little excited when Acura dropped these images of the 2017 NSX GT3 car testing at Michigan’s GingerMan Raceway in - you guessed it - pure, naked carbonfibre. Can I get a hnnng?
It’s expected to receive its FIA GT3 homologation this autumn, and it’ll be a much simpler beast than the road-going NSX. It features neither a four-wheel drive system, nor a hybrid powertrain.
You do get the same 3.5-litre, mid-mounted V6 found in the road car though, which sends all of its power to the rear via a six-speed sequential gearbox.
The racing version also features a massive rear wing, an underbody diffuser and larger vents to cool the V6 engine.
The car will get its first taste of competition in the 2017 motorsport season.

Still doubt it would beat any European equivalent.
What I’m afraid of is its races being more like its launch!
“It’s coming to complete a lap… It’s coming… No, wait; it’s not. Not yet, anyway; it’s just been delayed a bit.”
RIP Nissan GT-R
*carbonfibre, not caronfibre :D
Good spot!
Could it be a test bed for Very Tall Engine Cooling?
I see what you did there
Front fascia on the first pic looks like it has a very satisfied, evil grin
Is Honda using a GIPITOU engine here like the McLaren F1 car ?

Error 404: VTEC not found
