Got $6m? You Can Now Buy The Koenigsegg One:1 Development Car
With all the hype around the so-called Holy Trinity of hypercars - the McLaren P1, LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder - it’s been easy to let Koenigsegg slip from our collective minds. The Swedish manufacturer got a little salty about that recently, using stats to prove why the One:1 should definitely be in the conversation with the big three.
Well, if you read that post and fancied yourself a slice of the Koenigsegg action, boy do we have a treat for you. UK dealership SuperVettura has just taken delivery of the development One:1 used by Christian von Koenigsegg and his team to develop the hypercar, and is the vehicle that was displayed at the Geneva motor show in 2014.
To add to the exclusivity, this is the specific car that completed the fastest ever sprint to 186mph (300kph), as well as 0-300-0. It’s also the car used for the lap records of Spa Francorchamps and Suzuka. Furthermore, it’s the car I received a passenger lap in prior to my interview with Christian von Koenigsegg earlier this year, so I can officially confirm its speed can only be measured in expletives.
So how much will you have to stump up for this unique One:1? The rather significant sum of £4,000,000 ($6m), I’m afraid. That’s a hell of a lot of cash, but this is an extremely exclusive car.
