A year and a half ago, Rockstar Games launched a brilliant competition to give away a real-life version of Grand Theft Auto’s most famous stealable vehicle, the Bravado Banshee. Other than it briefly cropping up for sale last year for a rather optimistic $170,000 (£110,000), we’d forgotten all about it, until this video appeared, showing who’d actually won the car: a 56-year-old grandmother. It turns out her son had entered the competition on her behalf, making her the legal owner.

West Coast Customs - the company that built the car using a Dodge Viper SRT-10 as a base - had valued the Banshee at $180,000, but if you follow the link to the relisted auction of the car on the original auction page, you’ll see that on 30 January this year, it sold for a much more modest $45,200 (£29,000).
