Here Is More Of Renault's Nurburgring Record Fighter
Renault's recent teaser image of the car that it hopes will smash the Nurburgring lap record for front-wheel drive production cars has now been joined by the video you see above.
To recap, Renault is gunning for a lap time well below eight minutes, which, the brand hopes, will make its Megane RS the fastest car in its class. Seat recently stole the record from Renault and since then, it's been the French brand's mission to get it back.
To accomplish the sub-7min 58.4sec lap time set by Seat, Renault has teamed up with Akraprovic to realise as much power from the turbocharged 2.0-litre engine as possible. Modifications include that brand's exhaust system, while further upgrades to the RS are expected to include revised suspension, bigger brakes, a lower ride height and lightened kerb weight.
