Here's Audi's Entry For The Incoming Formula E Season

Audi has had some involvement in Formula E since it began back in 2014 as part of the Audi Sport Abt squad. But with the series becoming more and more attractive to big car manufacturers, the Ingolstadt marque has decided to go all-in as a full works effort for the upcoming fourth season of the all-electric championship.

Here's Audi's Entry For The Incoming Formula E Season

The car borrows the e-tron moniker from the LMP1 cars Audi had so much success with before its withdrawal from the World Endurance Championship at the end of 2016. And just like its endurance racers, it has a typically smart and snazzy Audi livery - just check out those wheels!

The car will be raced by youngster Daniel Abt and reigning series champion Lucas di Grassi, so you’d expect the team to be right up there fighting at the front.

Adding to the credentials of the team is the fact that three-time Le Mans 24 hours winner and all-round endurance racing legend Allan McNish has been named as team principal.

Unlike Formula 1, Formula E allows for teams to run their cars with slightly different colour schemes, something Audi has taken advantage of. Di Grassi’s car has more black and white areas whilst Abt’s car has plenty of red highlights, so it should be pretty easy to tell them apart on track.

Hope they lose. After what the VAG did to Le Mans I can only see them fail.

Well those are some optimistic thoughts. And VAG did nothing to Lemans. They just came, raced, and went. It happens every now and the, hence why you don’t call modern prototypes “Group C”

They’ve done a very good job of making the rather mundane looking FE car look very sexy indeed.
Especially with the green, mmm

Mate, the FE cars look brilliant anyways. The teams have done a brilliant job at liveries. Look at Faraday Future

I think they need to move away from urban circuits. Great novelty value. Really boring if you pay much attention to motorsport. Usually just a quick race off the line followed by a solemn single file procession for the rest of the race.

A3 e-tron, A1 e-tron, R8 e-tron and now this. Guess Audi was really a fan of the Tron movies.

Nicely done! Hopefully the engineers can help me with an innovative solution to solve the problem I’ve been having with my new kettle.
