When you think of racing sims, ‘Nintendo’ isn’t exactly the first word that springs to mind.

But Eden Games, developers of the Test Drive Unlimited series (and further back than that, the awesome V-Rally series) hopes to change that with its new game, Gear.Club Unlimited.

It’s set to release on the Nintendo Switch on 1 December, and Eden Games has now revealed the full list of cars that will be in the finished game. Spoiler alert: it isn’t exactly what you’d call ‘extensive’.

  • Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
  • AC 378 GT Zagato
  • Acura NSX 2016
  • Alfa Romeo 4C
  • Bentley Continental GT V8 S
  • BMW M2 Coupe
  • BMW M4 Coupe
  • BMW M6 Coupe
  • BMW Z4 Roadster
  • Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport
  • Chevrolet Camaro 1LS
  • Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
  • Dodge Challenger RT/Scat Pack
  • Ford Focus RS 2016
  • Ford Mustang GT 2015
  • Jaguar F-Type R AWD
  • Lotus Elise 220 Cup
  • Lotus Evora 400
  • Lotus Exige S
  • McLaren 12C
  • McLaren 570S
  • McLaren 675LT
  • McLaren P1
  • Mercedes-AMG C63 S
  • Mercedes-AMG GT S
  • Mercedes-AMG SLS Black Series
  • Nissan 370Z
  • Nissan GTR
  • Nissan GTR Nismo
  • Pagani Huayra Roadster
  • Ruf CTR 3
  • Ruf RT12 R

That’s right, the game will feature just 32 cars. That’s a far cry from Forza Motorsport 7s 700+ cars. Even Gran Turismo Sport, which features a pretty pared down list of cars compared to previous games in the series, will have around 150 to choose from.

What the game lacks in car choice however it will make up for in content, with more than 400 race events available in the game. There is going to be an upgrade system too, so you’ll at least be able to customise your cars to your liking.

To any Switch owners out there: will you be getting Gear.Club Unlimited? Let us know in the comments!

32 cars? NFS: MW 2005 also have 32 cars (not including the police and bonus cars)

Cool, the Switch can handle a mobile game and Gear.Club isn’t a sim, nowhere near

I played tdu2 religiously because it was one of a kind. I hated it so much but where else was I going to find an open world racer. Forza Horizon killed it deader than a parrot from an English pet shop.

Lambo dude

Might be a good break from forza or nfs. Of course, if the price is on par with the quality of the game.

Sleek

The mobile version is already so broken and they go off to port it to a console.
Development irresponsibility at it’s finest. Eden Games can make great concepts for games but they always seem to execute it terribly.
