So, basically, Euro NCAP. Like, not even kidding - this is now just a 1:1 reproduction of Euro NCAP.
But is this a bad thing (except the pro-BMW bias)?
Sooo, US spec cars will have those stupid big plastic bumpers (like on the 70s and 80s)?
I’ve done my bachelor’s thesis on this new crash test which is included and I can tell you it’s insane. The car stands and the (2,5t) barrier hits the car with 56mph/90km/h. They’ve done already some research tests which you can find on their database and on youtube. Watch the one of the smart ForTwo for total annihilation. Just check the legroom-cam on the driver side!
