Here's The Mad Rear Wing Of The Zenvo TSR-S In Action
The Zenvo TSR-S is one of those numbers cars. We’re talking about 1177bhp at 8500rpm from a 5.8-litre supercharged V8. 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds. 124mph in 6.8 seconds. And an electronically-limited top speed of 202mph.
But it’s difficult to care about any of that. Why? Because we are so utterly and completely distracted by one particular aero piece on this Zenvo.
We are talking - of course - about the Centripetal Wing. It has two rotational axes, meaning it can be used as an air brake, and as a stabiliser in the corners. The idea is it tilts as the car turns, increasing pressure and therefore grip to the inside wheels.
Is it actually making a meaningful difference? We’ve no idea, but it’s awesome to watch it in action!

The wing is Ka-chowing.
Nissan was first
Mitsubishi had a similar system in a concept car
Wasn’t it chaperal first?
I mean, it looks strange, but the concept makes sense and probably is very effective.
OMG, that’s f**king awesome!!! This car will never oversteer in it’s life!!! (hypothetically)
Over a 1000hp to limit the speed to 200 mph? We call this waste in the car world
I’d like to add that the front probably got no downforce to act alongside the moving wing, making it understeer. It is cool to see, but i call this supercar rice
If you have a lot of aerodynamic features on your car, that creates downforce. The more aero the car has, it’s slower in the straight line but faster around the corners, because the weight is pinning the car to the ground. The Viper ACR for an example does “only” 174MPH or 285KMH compared to the normal Viper’s 205MPH or 331KMH top speed because of the aerodynamics. The front also has many aerodynamic features. The vents can close to improve aerodynamics, there are holes in the bumper and the air goes trough them, over the wheels and into the side air vent, hence improving handling and cooling the brakes in the same time.
Put the wing on a Huayra BC
Pagani did a much nicer and more elegant job on the Huayra imo
I keep thinking it will fall off
Look at that Koenigsegg! It had fixed wing and still faster 🙂
