Here's What Happens If You Replace Your Engine Oil With Coke
To answer a question no one asked, the Behind The Press channel decided to see what an engine runs like with only cola for lubrication...
As it turns out, engines don’t run so well if you replace the oil with cola…
The poor Ford Fiesta run by Behind The Press - the ‘sister’ effort to the legendary Hydraulic Press Channel - has had a hard life. Last time out we saw one of its brake discs tested to destruction, and since it’s now on its last legs, the HPC lot decided to finally finish it off. By swapping its engine oil for Coke. As in the soft drink, to be clear.
The result is utterly predictable, if perhaps not quite as dramatic as you might hope. The engine does make a fairly sickening noise as it breathes its last, however…

“Check if there is cola leaking out of the car” Don’t hear THAT everyday
“Best engine oil that I have tasted” Also something you don’t hear often
My verdict is that the Coke boiled, became really thick and prevented the engine from moving freely
Should have used it as COLAnt instead
amiright
They should try running a car on this stuff instead of engine oil.
Kids in Africa could have ate that pistons and block.
Carbonated carburator?
It also has an educated eggdicator!
Eugh they both drank from the mouth of the bottle
What about replacing your coolant with beer?

Final drive ratio: HIGH
What did we think was going to happen? when the water boils off, if the engine hasn’t ceased by then, the remaining sugar, syrup, and acid forms a tar like substance.
