Here's What Happens When A BMW M760Li Drag Races An AMG S63
We’ve always got time for a drag race featuring BMW’s M760Li. Recently we’ve seen it annihilate an M3 and have a pop at a Ducati Panigale V4, but now the uber saloon is taking on a much more obvious rival.
We’re talking about the recently revised Mercedes-AMG S63, which belts out 603bhp from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8. That’s just a smidge more than the 592bhp developed by the all-wheel drive BMW’s 6.6-litre V12, but thanks to the Merc being rear-wheel drive (we don’t get the AWD version in the UK) it’s slower to 62mph - it’ll do the benchmark sprint in 4.3 seconds compared to 3.9.
Sounds like the BMW is the favourite, but that doesn’t necessarily guarantee Munich’s bonkers limo the victory. Make your predictions for the standing and rolling-start drag races in the video above from Car Wow, then press play.
