Here’s Your First Chance To Listen To The Incoming V6 Audi RS4
The next RS4 will be dropping two cylinders and gaining a couple of turbochargers, and thanks to this Nurburgring testing clip, we now have some idea of how it'll sound
Last year the mighty Audi RS4 - a car we’re particularly fond of - was quietly dropped from the range. That’s a damn shame as it’ll be one of the last cars to have the company’s superb 4.2-litre N/A V8 fitted. A twin-turbo V6 replacement has been rumoured for a while, and the noise coming out of this prototype’s tailpipes all but confirms the loss of two cylinders.
Power-wise, we’re looking at around 480bhp, if the most recent reports are to be believed. Also, it’s looking like a saloon variant will be available, unlike the previous generation which was only ever produced as an estate.

I can’t hear it.
Assume this will be same engine in new R8 too to be the base model
Will the V6 R8 have a tuned version of this V6?
This is going to be crazy fast though to stop potential buyers getting a RS3 Sportback and saving quite a bit of money
