Here's Your First Look At The New Alpine A110
After a relentless flood of teasers, Renault has finally revealed the new sports car that’ll relaunch the Apline brand. Almost.
Full details haven’t been divulged just yet - we’ll have to wait until the Geneva Motor Show for that. But we now have a couple of images to study, both of which show it looks near identical to the gorgeous Alpine Vision concept revealed last year. Plus, we know now its name: A110.
The name is an homage to the rear-engined A110 of the 1960s, one of Alpine’s most famous cars.
Unlike the old A110 though, the new one will be mid-engined. Based on what has been teased thus far plus the odd report and rumour, it’ll do 0-62mph in around 4.5 seconds, be powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged Renault engine with around 250bhp, and be a bit of a lightweight. Don’t be surprised if it tips the scales somewhere near the 1000kg mark.
It’s also expected to cost around £50,000, which puts it in Porsche Cayman and Alfa Romeo 4C territory.

FWD?
mid engined, so most probably RWD
Looks retro & futuristic at the same time. Can’t wait to see them out on the road 😁
Guessing it won’t be sold in ‘Murcia?
I think it would be hard to compete in the US. Is silly Americans aren’t too fond of small, expensive sports cars (myself excluded). Especially when you consider that it is more expensive than a base GT350. I know they are different cars and the 4c and Caymen are in a similar spot, I just don’t know if there is extra room in that niche of the American market
1.8 liters
1100kg
Its not really a 718, but id pick it over the 718 because of exclusivity
When someone wakes up to see that the A110 is returning:
The want is real.
Porsche 914
