Honda Is Bringing A RWD-Converted 900bhp Civic Si Drift Car To SEMA
We can’t say we’ve ever looked at the 10th-generation Honda Civic Si and seen any drift car potential, but it seems not everyone agrees.
The Japanese manufacturer has commissioned Jeanneret Racing and Olson Kustom Works to take the front-wheel drive, modestly-powered coupe and turn it into one of the least likely Formula Drift Cars ever seen.
Power comes from a K24 VTEC engine, which powers the rear wheels, rather than the fronts. Probably a good thing, as that inline-four - which we can only assume is now heavily turbocharged - puts out 911bhp.
We’re making guesses at this stage because Honda isn’t revealing much. We’re told only that the car “required extensive modifications to the chassis to turn it from a front-wheel drive car into a rear-wheel drive one,” which you probably guessed. The work was carried out “in-house in conjunction “ with Jeanneret and Olson. The preview images at least show us the new wide-arch body kit, the massive rear wing and the necessarily bonkers steering lock potential. It looks mega, on the whole.
We should hopefully know more about the car when it’s revealed in full at the SEMA show next week.

Okay thats insanity…..but TOTALLY AWESOME!
why cant this go into production? for like 500-1000 cars
Because no one can give a days warranty on a tuned car. It’d be awesome tho…

My ideal civic drift car is so much better. Fartcan = 700000 hp and trays produce massive angle.
Holy crap it’s like everything I love converted into one car
Let me guess.
We arent getting one
