Honda Civic Type R Rolls After Clipping Kerb At The Nurburgring

An EP3 Type R was seen clipping one of the Norschleife's notoriously high kerbs during a touristenfahrten session at the weekend, sending the car onto its roof

Lift-off oversteer and the Nordschleife’s notoriously high kerbs proved to be an expensive combination for this EP3 Honda Civic Type R driver.

During a touristenfahrten session on Saturday, the Type R was seen flipping onto its roof after the car hit a kerb at just the wrong angle. The recovery effort that followed is arguably the most painful bit to watch - we get that the car was probably a goner either way, but it still makes us cringe seeing its lifeless form dragged around the tarmac.

The silver lining is that uploader claims the driver and passenger “did not get any major injuries.”

The R in “Type R” probably stands for Roll.
