Honda's 'Baby NSX' Sports Vision Gran Turismo Car Revealed In Full
Now we’re just about over the disappointment of those ‘baby NSX’ patents turning out to be for another one of those Vision Gran Turismo cars, the virtual car has been revealed in full. It’s quite the looker, isn’t it?
Dubbed the Honda Sports Vision Gran Turismo, the car is powered by a mid-mounted 2.0-litre inline-four turbo, which kicks out 400bhp at 7500rpm. Power is sent to the wheels (the rears, we’re guessing) via an eight-speed dual clutch gearbox.
It weighs just 899kg, so it should be plenty fast on Gran Turismo Sport’s somewhat limited roster of tracks.
A team from Los Angeles won a “fierce competition” to have its design used (we’re now wondering if that design was derived from the first ‘baby NSX’/new S2000 patent images we first saw a couple of years ago), with a quarter-scale model built in the USA soon after. A full-scale model has since been built for wind-tunnel testing, “just as in the development of a real car,” Gran Turismo says.
We’re yet to see a Gran Turismo Vision car transition into a real production prospect, but wouldn’t it be awesome if the Honda Sports was the first? We’re crossing our fingers hard, but for now, at least we can drive this one in the virtual world.

AFFORDABLE HYBRID SPORTS HONDA? SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
How about the S660? That’s already a thing
If they put that much effort into developing a car for a game, imagine what they could achieve with a real car.
I’m the only one who sees a baby R8 in the car? OK then.
The grey one behind the blue is weirdly close to a nio ep6(?) despite being the same

Hope this is a reality
It drives awfully in game, just saying :)
They’re gonna pull a cheeky Peugeot and not produce it.
Imagine if Honda made an I6 or V8 with VTEC…
Keep dreaming - sadly it’ll never happen. When Acura dealers in the US were clamouring for V8’s based on customer feedback in the early 00’s Honda USA “shut them up” by sending them crates of then popular soft drink “V8”. As a joke. Apparently.
It reminds me of a Lykan when I see it from behind
More like the original nsx
This is why Honda sucks
they let a design of a car leak to create hype for a Baby NSX but then reveal it as a Vision theyl never acheive
F %÷K You Honda
