They even said no other car had close to 1:1 power to weight ratio, obviously they forgot about the konigsegg one:1 ??
Just get rid of the freaking test driver and it is 1000% perfect. Other than him nothing to say against the GT. It is glorious and worth the wait for it since they left the BBC!!
To be honest…I rated both 7/10. They’re not bad. They’re watchable, but it needs fixing. The tent bits in the second episode were nothing basically, the scripted dialog, the American, etc…
But the thing about The Grand Tour is that it’s really the old Top Gear, but with a studio that moves around. That’s not bad, but the boys needed newer and fresher ideas, and The Grand Tour doesn’t seem to have enough new ideas, but more rehashed ideas. For me, The Grand Tour would’ve been better if it followed more of Top Gear USA’s format; an episode-long film without studio bits. The Grand Tour’s current format doesn’t seem to fit online streaming for some reason; but feature-long films would be perfect for streaming.
The Grand Tour isn’t bad, it just isn’t that new of an idea after all. It’s old Top Gear, with a moving studio, an anti-Stig, and a new name.
One thing that I’ve found which I don’t like is that the humour seems abit too predicable and scripted, where as old new top gear seemed to flow nicely and nothing seemed forced, it just came naturally (even though it was scripted)
