ALL HAIL MAZDA!!! No seriously, if there is god in the car world, Its definitely Mazda…and here’s a point…ICE is only developed up to 40%. We can’t let ICE go away, because that would be 150 years of research and innovation go to trash…We need to keep innovating to make ICE in the better form than what it is right now. We can make ICE sound better and even more powerful…Naturally aspirated engines can last for life…With more innovation and better, reliable engines and tech, we can be making engines better and the feel to be even more satisfactory. Heck, there’s probably more to it…all I want to say is “Never stop innovating”

If the compression ratio is 16 to 1 with a 87 octane gasoline, It will be better with the octane levels we get in Europe (95 and 98) right?

The U.S uses a different system for octane rating. Europe’s lowest octane level is equivalent to the U.S’s 87

I currently own a 2015 Mazda 3 (I live in México) with the 2.5L engine with about 190bhp and 185lb/ft and it flies. Mazda is doing things in the right direction and can honestly say, the best car I have driven for every day use. It’s got very useful powerband, the right amount of power for daily / spirited driving. I have even manage to hit 190km/h / 120mph on a 2km/1.2mile stretch of road and what a machine. Honestly best car I have ever owned. I had a 2006 Nissan Altima and 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor, and if I had to buy another car, I’d buy another Mazda, probably the newer 3 (near future).
