Hypersonic Brabus CLS Shooting Brake Gets 850hp & 225mph Top Speed
Say hello to what Brabus has dubbed the 'world's most powerful, street-legal, all-wheel drive wagon' money can buy: say hello to the frighteningly fast Brabus 850 Shooting Brake 6.0 Biturbo 4MATIC.
Based on Merc's already brisk CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake (5.5-litre V8, 557bhp, 530lb ft, 0-62mph: 4.3sec), the Brabus boys have upped power to a scarcely believable 850hp and 848lb ft torque.
How has Brabus done this? The engine has been bored out to 5.9 litres (despite being called the 6.0 Biturbo), the turbos have been beefed up, the ECU has been tweaked, and a stainless steel exhaust system has been added to the package too.
The performance figures are simply stunning: 0-62mph takes just 3.1 seconds (0.1sec slower than a Nissan GT-R) while top speed is estimated to be around 225mph; this hasn't been officially tested yet...
Further changes compared with the standard Mercedes car include lashings of carbonfibre and 20-inch alloys with performance tyres. Brabus hasn't announced pricing details, but don't expect any change from £200k.
