Merely a week after an eventful Goodwood Festival of Speed, the British boys Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, will attempt to improve McLaren's already stellar record at the Midlands track to become the 23rd home winner since the first F1 race at the venue in 1950.

Lewis heads to Silverstone 20 points adrift of leader Fernando Alonso who managed a spectacular victory after starting from 11th place on the grid in Valencia. Hammy will be looking to take his second pole of the season on Sunday 8th.
