Introducing Cat Throttle: The Internet's Fastest Growing Cat Community

Back when I started Car Throttle from my University bedroom, I always knew I wanted to create content outside of the automotive world. Since 2009, the questioning has been relentless: “When’s the new vertical launching?”, “Can Car Throttle ever scale to a billion users?” and “I’m just a lowly feline lover, what about me?”

Today, I’m happy to announce the launch of our new vertical dedicated to that third group of passionate internet users. Introducing Cat Throttle. Cat Throttle takes all of what makes Car Throttle so addictive; memes (of cats), listicles (of cats) and GIFs (of cats) all uploaded on top of a hyper-local, mobile-first social layer. In a world of platforms, we’ve platformised the multi-billion dollar feline industry and polished it to purr-fection.

Our most recent round of funding led by some fat-cat venture capitalists has allowed us to invest in what we know works: bringing people together under a common love. In this case, humankind’s common love of cats. Why would you upload cat content to Facebook when you can engage with influencers and post your best furry photos on Cat Throttle?
