The Isle Of Man Is Closing The Awesome TT Course For A BAC Experience Weekend
Fancy your own island paradise with closed mountain roads, all legal and backed by the local government? Of course you do. But, sadly, you’re too late.
Starting today, BAC is taking 12 Monos to the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea, where the local government has agreed to close a whole delicatessen of the island’s best roads for BAC’s customers to enjoy, complete with full marshalling and total speed de-restriction. For the whole weekend.
Some 20 guests from 10 countries will share the 12 cars, departing today and returning on Sunday. Starting at Jurby Circuit, the only short circuit on the island, there are training exercises before the sickeningly lucky participants get to thrash the lightweight sports cars to within an inch of their lives out on the famous roads used by the Isle of Man TT.
The rest of the information just adds fuel to our burning envy. We won’t bore you with the details but phrases like ‘some of the best roads on the planet,’ ‘staying in the finest hotels on the island’ and ‘very best hospitality’ crop up in the press release. It’s okay to cry.
BAC Co-Founder and Director of Product Development, Neill Briggs, said:
“When Ian and I first set about creating the Mono, we did so with the vision of sharing it with friends – giving them access to the purest driving experience in the world.
“We work closely with the Isle of Man and are very excited to show everyone what this wonderful place has to offer; we’d also like to extend our thanks to the Government for making part of the trip possibly and allowing us to sample idyllic roads in the best car possible.”

20 guests, 12 single seater… BAC might have a problem?

‘Budget’ F1 like weekend. Man I wish I could go
Meanwhile I’ll have to stick to my 700+hp rally-tuned Mono in Forza…
When your article is unintentional clickbait…
Just about to have heart attack when I saw that
I feel like it’s not BAC’s “Best Customers” but more like “Only Customers”
I imagine there are going to be a couple of crashes and spins due to to inexperienced drivers
