It Looks Like The Old Top Gear USA Trio Will Be Making Their Own Car Show
This week, we received the surprise news that a new car show is being cooked up, dubbed Top Gear America.
We say surprising, because the last US-produced version of the motoring show - Top Gear USA - was as good as cancelled after its sixth series. The new show has been revealed to feature actor William Fichtner (yes, really), motoring journalist Tom Ford and drag racer Antron Brown, seemingly leaving former TG USA hosts Adam Ferrara, Tanner Foust, and Rutledge Wood out of the job. But, it’s looking like the trio will have their own show.
Wood has since posted a picture of himself and his colleagues on Instagram, with the caption “can’t wait to show u what we’ve been working on! #MoreFunToCome”. Sounds very much like a new car show is in the works to us, and an insider source confirmed this to Jalopnik, saying that Wood, Foust and Ferrara are “developing a new project that takes them all over America featuring more ridiculous automotive adventures”. What’s more, they’re working with Anonymous Content, the company behind the likes of Mr Robot and True Detective.
Sounds awfully promising to us…

How many days ago commented on the post ‘New Top Gear America Hosts’ with ‘Hope Tanner Rut and Adam make their own show’?! Looks like they’ve read that
The real question now is: Is it on Amazon? 😂
Just a theory, but Netflix tried to get Clarkson, Hammond and May, so this could be a good pick up for them. Especially since they are adding more and more Netflix Original content
TGT Be Like: Same Pinch!!
Well well well I wonder where they got that idea from.
There are so many car shows now…
I would love to see this. These guys got really good, great chemistry. I was impressed with all of them and have missed their show. Now I might have to sign up with netflix as well!
Lemme guess the theme of the show. “We take slightly rough, yet fully operational cars they could be great drivers or projects for ACTUAL car enthusiasts, and destroy them over the course of pointless competition, in the hopes of getting a few cheap laughs from imbeciles that think Farmtruck and AZN are the greatest comedy duo since Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy.”
If it wasn’t for TopGear USA it probably would’ve taken me a few more years to find original (British) TopGear. So I liked it. Not as much as original TopGear though. But I highly respect it.
We have all know what it’s going to called The Grand Tour USA
