It's Amazing No One Died In This Monstrous '200kmh' Audi RS3 Crash
The Audi RS3 is an extremely capable car, but there’s absolutely nothing in its repertoire that can save you if you tear up to a T-junction at this kind of speed.
It isn’t clear whether 200kmh (124mph) was the speed at which the driver started braking or the speed at which the car went off the road (we’re guessing the latter), but either way the result is one annihilated RS3. Amazingly though, the driver lived to tell the tale. Score one for modern car safety.
If you’re wondering why there are race track style kerbs and barriers surrounding the road, that’s because this driver’s amazing lack of awareness was demonstrated on the former Chimay Street Circuit in Belgium. It was used for the Grand Prix des Frontières until the event was discontinued in 1972. Much of the circuit’s furniture survives to this day, with a shortened version of the original layout occasionally used for bike racing.
The rest of the time, it’s a regular, public road, where driving at over 120mph really isn’t a good idea…

The wipers had their last dab tho.. This dude should get a R8 and top it down Rue Ligne Droite des Hunaudières next..
SMH don’t know why he is so worried.
I thought it was the older RS3
RS3? with this exhaust?
Yes! I paused when they showed the underneath of the car (whilst on its side)
I noticed 2 pipes coming from the engine. The RS3 is an inline 5. Why the two pipes then?
What. A. Plum.
That’s why you don’t drive fast if you don’t know the road/track!
But hats off to Audi for building a car where you can walk away from such a crash.
I’m sorry but my reaction requires my native language: bist du deppert oida, der hat eine Masn ghabt
Ray Charles lives, and drive!
And there is a reason why the autobahn exists
Probably the car gods were with them…
SPEED KILL… Oh wait. No. It doesn’t.
Speed dosen’t kill, the sudden stops might.
