It's Official: Forza Horizon 4 Is Set In Britain, Roadworks Included
The rumours were correct: Forza Horizon 4 is indeed coming to the United Kingdom. Well, an idealised version of Britain: it’s all the pretty parts glued together (think the countryside, the coast and Edinburgh), minus the traffic. But, there will be potholes and roadworks. How realistic!
After the 2 October 2018 worldwide launch on Xbox One and Windows 10, gamers will be able to enjoy driving on our British Isles with changeable weather and seasons. You’ll have over 450 cars to choose from to tear around in the dry, in the wet, on mud, snow or ice “in a shared world where everyone experiences changes in time of day, weather and seasons together,” Turn 10 says. Oh, and yes, judging by the trailer (above), a hovercraft will be involved somehow, we suspect in a bonkers showcase event.
We don’t have a car list yet, but we do know that the cover cars will be the McLaren Senna and the 1997 Land Rover Defender 90. The Red Arrows are involved too, just to up the British ante a little further. God save the queen, etc.
Here are some of the other cars we can see in the trailer, the promo shots and gameplay videos:
- Lamborghini Centenario
- Pagani Huayra BC
- Aston Martin Vulcan
- VW Beetle
- Ariel Nomad
- Jaguar F-Type
- MG B
- Jeep Trailcat
- Metro 6R4
- Audi S1 Quattro
- Bugatti Chiron
- Austin FX4 Black Cab
- Jaguar E-type
- Austin Healey 100-6
- Austin Healey Sprite
- Toyota Tundra TRD Trophy Truck
- RWB Porsche 911
- BMW M2
- Austin Mini
- Porsche Cayman GT4
- Dodge Viper ACR
One big new feature is the ability to buy property (Test Drive Unlimited, is that you?), which “unlocks new items and gameplay perks”. There’s also a new ‘Route Creator’, allowing players to design and share their own races online.
It’ll be 4K and HDR ready, and there’s a 60 frames per second option for the Xbox One X. However you play it, though, it should be a stunning-looking game.
Unlike Horizon 3, the single player and multiplayer worlds will effectively be merged together, although offline play is still possible. Cooperative play features, and you’ll be able to join a ‘casual’ or ‘ranked’ team to spice things up.
Roll on October…

Anybody knows the PC minimum requirements?
I have a Legion Y520
i7700HQ
16 GB DDR4
GTX1050Ti
Could I run it?
Or if SR doesn’t exist yet, SR for Forza H3, so I’d just add 10% to that
I say it will be a bit higher in terms of system requirments so maybe a 60 FPS on medium.
Yea, but definitely not on max graphics
What is Legion Y520?
I hope I can run it too, I have slightly better GPU but less RAM (and well, it’s a normal PC, not a laptop). Well, if it won’t glitch and tell me to update GPU drivers to ver. -1.-1.-1.-1 or newer, then crash (still angry about that, that’s why I couldn’t play FH3)
oh boy, can’t wait for the supposed country roads that have lanes wider than my house
Those English ‘country lanes’ are like landing strips for a Boeing 747.
Yes
HA!
JUST AS I PREDICTED
Riot intensifies
Playground games is based in the UK too
I swear someone’s gonna put a Fake Taxi logo on the Side of that Cabbie
That is what i think too.XD
I will
I’ll do it. Lmfao
Oh man
Imagine an Isle of Man expansion pack spanning the entire Island!
Would be awesome to see that. If so i am goung to buy an one x
it’s not a turn 10 game, it’s playground games.
also, why did i buy ps4, not an xbox 4 years ago?
Playground Games is Turn 10 sub-company, there is no chance to FH4 release in PS4.
“There’s also a new ‘Route Creator’, allowing players to design and share their own races online.” FINALY WE WILL BE ABLE TO CREATE OUR OWN RACES OMG
As if you would need changeable weather for a UK map.
Of course you need changeable weather!
There’s Grey, Wet, Wetter and Grey and Wet.
