Jaguar XFR Unleashed To 174mph

Think back to May this year and you’ll remember that we interviewed His Colin of Jackson – yes, that quick Welsh bloke – hanging out in the arse-end of a supercharged Jaguar XJ Speed Pack. Despite looking like helmets, we hit a top speed of 174mph.

Spurred on by the hot XJ’s success, Jaguar has now unleashed the same treatment on the XFR model.

Like the XJ, the 503bhp 5.0-litre V8 XFR Speed Pack boosts the luxury saloon’s top speed from 155mph to 174mph thanks to a revised engine and gearbox calibration, beefier suspension and exterior tinsel, including a front aero splitter and a cheeky rear spoiler. Nice.

So what does a 24mph speed hike cost, you ask? Including the Speed Pack’s £2750 premium, the car’s yours for £68,130. Which got us thinking. Which would you rather have? The BMW M5, Mercedes E63 AMG or the Jag? Cast your votes below:
