The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Is No Match For A Tesla Model X

The Hellcat-engined Trackhawk may be fast in a straight line, but the Model X P100D is faster still...

Here it is, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk drag race you’ve all been waiting for. Yep, Jeep’s Hellcat-engined brute can be seen in this DragTimes video going head-to-head with a Tesla Model X P100D. In four races, no less.

Each of them plays out pretty much as you’d expect - the vehicles aren’t far off each other in terms of weight, but the Model X has the edge when it comes to power. Factor in the instant torque delivery of electric motors, and the Tesla is able to easily beat the Jeep in each of the four races. In fact, according to DragTimes, the quickest run of 11.2 seconds at 118mph crowns the Model X as the world’s fastest production SUV.

But with a best time of 11.9 seconds at 113mph, the Cherokee is still incredibly fast considering the kind of car it is. And in any case, we’d happily sacrifice a little straight-line speed for that supercharged V8 noise…

I’m actually confused. Which one is cool & trendy now a days?

Supporting electric cars or booing electric cars?

But water isnt inherently wet, it just makes things it touches wet.

Ludicrous mode can only be used in a few situations.
V8 noise, however, can be used EVERYWHERE.

Why would you want company that is advancing car technology to burn down? Plus if Tesla was to “burn down” think of the people who worked there that would loose their jobs. What a stupid statement to make just because a car from Tesla is faster than a petrol powered SUV, Tesla should burn down..

What’s the point of either of these? I mean I like both (the Tesla more than the Jeep) but I honestly don’t see a point in either, why not have a fast estate car or super saloon instead?

seating capacity, storage capacity, maybe you want to go down some light off road trails (not sure you can do that in the tesla, though)

I still would go for the jeep espacially if i can use the money i saved on performance as a hellcat engine can get a few more horses out of it
