Just 24 Seat Leon Cupra Rs Are Coming To The UK At £35k A Pop
See the car in the picture above? It’s the new Seat Leon Cupra R, and in the UK, it’s set to be rarer than pretty much everything else on the road bar the most exotic supercars.
We already knew Seat was only going to make 799, but this week the Spanish firm’s UK arm announced that just 24 of that number will make their way to our shores. It won’t be cheap, either: each weighs in at £34,995 on the road.
That said, you shouldn’t be wanting for stuff. On top of what you get in the standard Cupra 300, the car has keyless ignition, the ‘Winter Pack’, a rear view camera, a 10-speaker BeatsAudio sound system, a fancier navigation system, various extra safety systems and adaptive cruise control.
More importantly, it’s packing an extra 10bhp relative to the standard Cupra (bringing the total to 306bhp), a re-tuned exhaust, fettled dampers, modified front camber angles, a new steering system and beefier Brembo four-pot callipers for the front axle.
It gets a meaner bodykit with a smattering of carbonfibre trim, while on the inside you’ll find a whole load of Alcantara plus some copper accents.
In other words, Seat UK shouldn’t have any trouble shifting all 24 rather swiftly.

Nothing beats the 2002 Cupra
It will be one of the rarest cars on UK roads but it pretty much just looks like every other Seat currently on sale
Buy some bronze vinyl from eBay. No one will be able to tell the difference.
