Makes me feel even better about my V70. It’s 17 years old, but I think its safer than this. This does shows Volvo still cares about build quality.
Your first gen Volvo V70 is not safer than this XC90.
isn’t this really bad? the car is still moving but the driver has no control and half of the airbags won’t work anymore
no, the point is for the crumple zones to absorb all of the impact. The driver of this volvo would get minor to zero injury because the car isnt brought to a sudden stop by the crash.
Im quite sure, that Volvo has automatic braking system, in event of crash. Hell VAG has this and the brands are not remotely concerned with safety as much as volvo.
The breaks are activated after impact, the car will stop soon after…
The interior piece at 0:39 to 0:45 looks dangerous
When i have Kids….im getting a Volvo
Nice Special Effects!
Destroys outside of car, survives initial impact but gets killed by loose cap.
well i think it will not be enough to kill you…
you guys should really see the S class crash test.
there is not small overlap crash test of a S class, just the E, C, M and if you see them, the M class it gets a good rating like this one but if you see the fotage it looks much more hard crash, in this xc90 it almost looks like the airbags cloud not deploy that the driver you still not hit the wheel, on mercedes he hits the air bag hard, very hard, the c class had a marginal rating in the first run, avery volvo had top score in first run, the S80 is wonderful…
I just want to know what the wall is made out of. Its probably cement mixed with Chuck Norris’ bodily secretions reinforced with adamantium and lined with silicone carbide and dried Weetabix… It actually broke a volvo
