Ken Block's Awesome 1400bhp Hoonicorn Assault On Pikes Peak Is (Almost) Here At Last
Brace for hooning: It’s Ken Block and the twin-turbo Hoonicorn versus Pikes Peak, and things are about to get very, very smoky.
After Block’s team turned the 845bhp Hoonicorn into this insane, 1400bhp methanol-fuelled v2.0 model, the plan was always to film some absolutely awesome content with it, and where better to do it than Pikes Peak? Block has just uploaded a teaser trailer for what looks like an absolute baptism of ‘Climbkhana’ fire for the ridiculous Hoonicorn.
You might remember that this first surfaced about a year ago, but for some reason it has taken, like, forever to nail the edit. Next week looks like the time that we’ll finally see the fruits of the team’s labours on the mad-looking car.
Its two turbos, which only stick out through the bonnet of the 1965 Mustang shell because Block wanted them to, cram 21lb of boost into the 6.7-litre Roush V8’s cylinders. That makes the conversion somewhat dramatic. Toyo, one of the American’s sponsors, must have had to pack a whole truck full of spare tyres for this shoot. We can’t wait for the full thing.

1400HP Hoonicorn vs a large rock. And some animals. Lets hope the hoonicorn won’t hit some spectators. and the rock too.
We know this story. He drove every corner minimum ten times. The postproduction does the rest.
And he does all the things he did in the last million or so YouTube videos
YASSSS
25th September come faster!!!
Me Block is giving me a great gift for my birthday…
Baby Driver: modifies an AWD car into a RWD car so it can drift
Ken Block: modifies a RWD muscle car into an AWD car so it won’t spin out when he tries to do anything with it
RIP Ken Block 2017, (Fell off a cliff)
The production team will probably put a shit ton of barriers and things like that, and Block will probably not even risk his life as he’s mostly going to go all show and little go
