Games publisher EA, which already produces dozens of mobile and console racing titles, has been hinting at a new mobile game for the past few months. It’s not ready to bring a new NFS console game onto the market until it is perfected (and probably while there isn’t tremendous competition). Recently, EA confirmed the NFS No Limits mobile game was coming soon and released the Ken Block video below:

EA’s Firemonkeys Studio in Australia is responsible for the game’s development. Firemonkeys is well known for developing the Real Racing titles. Over the next few weeks they will release more details about game-play and what cars we are going to see. You can expect more customisation options than in its last NFS mobile game.

Given the capabilities of the newest generation of smart phones and tablets, there is much room for enhancing mobile racing games. Executive Producer of Firemonkeys, Robert Huebner, says this new game will “…deliver the insanely fast driving and incredible graphics that fans have come to expect from Need for Speed – all in the palm of your hand.”

We’re more anxious to hear about the next NFS console game, but at least we have this mobile game as a sort of teaser to keep us going. Be sure to check back with us for the line-up of cars and all the available options as they are released.

Now here’s a question for you guys: is this new NFS mobile game going to blow us away or is it going to be a repeat of NFS Most Wanted?
