Our friends over at Left Lane News have just released renderings on the soon-to-be Lamborghini Reventon Spyder. This will be the deluxe edition of the already immense Reventon which graced the automotive scene last year, and which is likely to have an even more phenomenal price tag to go along with it. Sources inform us that the hole in your potential wallet will be a whopping $1.6 million.

Just by looking at it however, you can see why this can afford such a premium price-tag. The Reventon original was inspired by a Tornado Fighterjet, with its low and menacing front grille, its sculptured sides and the hard-edged derriere - you sure wouldn't want to see one of these in your rear-view! Coupled with the fact that Lamborghini only aim to produce 9 of these automobile magnificados and you can see why these are priced at $600k more than the hard-topped Reventon.

What will differ though will be the gear under the hood. The Spyder will be based on the LP670-4 SuperVeloce which brings with it a heart-racing 670-horspower, 6.5-litre V12 and a new all-wheel-drive system. Coupled with a low-weight and high-strength structure and this machine is bound to bring out The Terminator in you. Understandably due to the additional drag, Lamborghini inform us that the Spyder will not be able to top-out at the 220 mph that it's previous sibling can attain - but with an open roof, surely that would be enough to take your head off?

Stay tuned for more information on this special edition but expect to never see one in your lifetime, unless you happen to be a rapper and your last-name is Diddy.
