Lie Awake At Night Knowing You Spent £270 On These Nismo Pyjamas
If you’re the type of person who closes their eyes at night and counts Skylines to get to sleep, Nissan’s latest offering may be for you. And sadly, we’re not talking about a new Godzilla.
Rather, Nissan has teamed up with designer Daniel Patrick for a two-piece collection of Nismo-branded nightwear. Apparently, Patrick designed the sets having spent some time with a Nismo Z - which may explain why they’re mostly grey.
You can have a set of pyjamas, finished with the trademark Nismo red and black. There’s a set of stripes on either sleeve said to mimic the taillights of the Z, while Patrick especially picked polar fleece material and integrated vents on the bottoms to “support airflow management”. Make of that what you will.
Matching the pyjamas is a dressing gown, complete with ‘Nismo’ written across the back of the belt.
Nissan said the project was also inspired by the work of sleep researcher Dr Matthew Walker. He said: "To be a better driver, it's not just about performance and reacting quickly, it's also about consistency – and managing concentration. I don't know anything other than sleep that has a greater statistical contribution to improving that ability."
Both the pyjama set and dressing gown will be limited to 50 units of each. Pricing is a little punchy - those of us in the UK can expect to pay £270 for the pyjamas and £190 for the dressing gown. We looked just after writing this, and it seems you can still place an order - with delivery for the end of December.
Still, it’s significantly cheaper than what you’d pay for a nearly as limited-edition version of the R32 GT-R these days.
